CEP Goals
ELA
By June 2021, we will strengthen our instructional core in ELA/Literacy to ensure curriculum is standards-aligned and that it addresses the needs of all learners, by providing the professional supports needed to maintain the integrity of our literacy programs, including supports for remote learning. All students will engage in regular discussions with peers across content areas, thus building academic language skills. Professional learning for our teachers will be driven by the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) and focus on our Priority Area: Strengthen Core Instruction. Our work this year will prioritize building language and knowledge through discussion, resulting in a 5% change (70% to 75%) in student proficiency for all students, with a specific focus on our Hispanic and SWD populations on the NYS ELA assessment.
Math
By June 2021, through rigorous and on-going professional learning, we will strengthen our instructional core and data systems in mathematics to ensure that curriculum is standards-aligned and addresses the needs of all learners, with a specific focus on targeted subgroups English Language Learners and Latino students, resulting in a 3% Increase, from 84% to 87% of the All Students achieving at Level 3 & Level 4, as measured by NYS Math Exam Results.
Early Childhood Learning
By June 2021, the school will deepen our understanding of the Social and Emotional Learning competencies by engaging in ongoing professional development and support for classroom implementation, resulting in improved self-awareness and self-management skills, as reflected by a 10% increase in positive responses from September to June, in these areas on the student survey. The Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education/Attendance/Social Emotional Learning (CASEL) Team will lead the work of this goal.
Quality Individualized Education Program
By June 2021, we will strengthen the quality and implementation of IEPs for All Students with Disabilities (SWD), by creating quality IEPS that include annual goals that indicate benchmarked progress monitoring, with a 3% Increase in quality IEPS, from 87% to 90%, as measured by IEP audits.
